I was surprised how long it took for me to realize this is satire. It is, right?

Was there a specific headline that made you realize for sure? 😜

It was the culmination. The totality. Well done.

It's called Halfway because the satire is halfway believable. Some of it is more like 3/4 believable, with our current nutty federal administration.

With Trump and crew it could be 99%

Imagine being so fragile that if people don’t clap loud enough at your military cosplay parade, you threaten to start a war. That’s not leadership—that’s emotional terrorism with a brass band. Meanwhile, ICE is getting outmaneuvered by street gangs and priests, and penguins are issuing press releases. If this timeline gets any more absurd, we’ll have to start charging rent to satire writers.

And let’s be honest—if Iran really wanted to destabilize America, they’d just sit back and let Trump keep doing… whatever this is.

Blessed be the draft dodger who demands parades for wars he hasn’t won.

They're gonna have to put in a whole new category in the DSM psychology books to describe the constellation of character defects that is Donald Trump.

Aleksander Constantinoropolous's avatar

At this point, DSM needs an appendix called The Trumpian Cluster — includes delusions of grandeur, pathological need for applause, and chronic projection with frequent side effects of fascist nostalgia. Symptoms worsen with mirrors, indictments, and rainy inauguration days. Treatment plan? Truth serum and a long stay at Camp Reality.

The Trumpian Cluster is a good branding word for it ha

Dude - I thought my last name was hard to learn -- assuming you can spell in a couple alphabets. Awesome -- took me a week to find the bus from Glyfada to Athens until I figured out AT is only one symbol. Totally concur with the Bone Spur in Charge -- I throw up a little in my mouth every time I see him getting any respect from the military.

Rump deserves a bigger parade with lots of pickup trucks, with of course, his Congressional supporters and MAGATS waving, escorted by tanks and our military marching them right up to the guillotines just like the French did on Bastille Day.

Nah I'd like to see Trump rot in prison someday. I want to see his face with no makeup, and his head with no hair care.

That's a good idea but but some of us have weak stomachs to have to see him with no makeup, he's bad enough with it caked on.

For God’s sake; enough with the military parades. We are not winning anything, the country is being destroyed from within. Somebody put a stop to the insanity and fire Hegseth anyway; he never should have been put in a government post anyway.

There's no way Hegseth lasts the full term.

Let’s hope there is no way Trump lasts a full term. Impeachment anyone ?

I’m afraid that this kind of “satire” gets mistaken for real news and gets spread around, adding to all the misinformation already out there. The labelling should be clearer
